Does the Donatello II need gas or electricity?
No, it's a genuine wood fired oven. No gas or power connection required.

How many pizzas can it cook at once?
Up to three large pizzas, each cooking in around 1 to 2 minutes at full temperature.

How long does it take to heat up?
Once cured, approximately 90 minutes to reach 300 to 400°C.

How much wood does it use?
Around 5 to 10kg to get the oven very hot, then roughly one log at a time to maintain temperature.

Is the outside of the oven hot to touch?
The rendered, painted exterior stays cool enough to touch. The metal arch, door, and stainless steel flue do get hot during use and should be avoided.

Can I place it on a timber or combustible bench?
Not recommended. A non combustible bench material is required.

Does it need a stand?
Not included as standard. Optional extras include heavy duty feet, a flat pack tower stand (920mm x 920mm x 1010mm), and castors for mobility.

How do I clean it?
Once fully cooled, wipe dirty areas with running water and a light bristle broom, never pressure wash. For the interior, simply sweep out ashes once cooled, no products needed.

Can I touch up scratches or repaint it?
Yes, Polito supplies touch up paint (Acratex Dulux membrane paint) with your oven.

What's the warranty?
Backed by Polito's 5 year structural warranty, covering the oven body against collapse or caving under normal use.

Anything I need to do as soon as it arrives?
Remove all packaging and shrink wrap immediately, leaving it on can damage the paint finish.

We are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a valid physical address at checkout.

Orders are dispatched within 2–5 business days of payment, usually sooner. Please note that factors including weather, high postal traffic and carrier performance are outside of our control.

For large or freight items such as trampolines, pizza ovens, saunas and glamping structures. All deliveries are curbside. Our service does not include unpacking or removal of packaging materials. Please ensure someone is available to receive and sign for delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number.

The Donatello is backed by a 5-year structural warranty, covering the oven body against collapse or caving in under normal use, provided it's installed and operated according to the supplied instructions. It doesn't cover damage from misuse, extreme impact, high-pressure cleaning, or normal wear and tear over time. The exterior is high temperature rated and colour stable up to 650°C; minor scratches can be touched up with a matching spray can if needed.

If this is the case, and your item has a major fault, please contact us within 24 hours or the item arriving. Include your order details and supporting evidence (photos and/or videos) of the issue, so we can assist you as quickly as possible.

All items must be un-used and in the same original packaging, on delivery.

Postage for the returned item will be at the buyer's expense. Unless faulty.
